"Free" Software - AOL IM (Video chat)

Another great example of "Free" software.  See what happens when you install it:

15 cookies were asked to be installed during visits to, and subsequent installation, of the AOL IM software. 
Then, after install, as at least SOME of these cookies were needed -  these were the results:

Windows Defender (Beta 2) yielded no additional detections

AdAware SE 1.6 found this:


Remember; this is AFTER ZoneAlarm PRO has removed what it found. . . 

SPYBOT S&D found no additional problems.

 Manual cookies (via shortcut) showed these 5 cookies (!)



The AIM installation ALSO changes your HOME PAGE  to this:

Conclusion:  Stay away from this software. This applies equally to the private as well
as corporate users.   The EULA has not been discussed re. this product - there's simply no need
to look into this, when the software so obviously misbehaves.
